can’t sleep for the shelling and the hundreds of stories of atrocity I have heard in my first few days here in Sarajevo… shocking what has been allowed to happen to these people.  Why?

coming under fire from a sniper as we sped down the infamous “Sniper Alley”… some welcome.

The chilling scenes of War hit me hard this morning as I arrived in the harsh Bosnian winter.  (about -15 degrees c)

Until now, I thought I was an experienced soldier… nothing could have prepared me for this.

not sure why I am smiling…. fecking dangerous place!!  (Safe in the knowledge that my back is covered though).

Beauford James Ferguson (Beau), a beautiful baby boy.  Arrived just a few days before my deployment on operations to Drummad Barracks, Armagh with 4th Regiment Royal Artillery.

Sophie-Louise Ferguson (now Murkin), the proud Mum of my first-born grandson, Alfie and loving wife to Richard Murkin.
